Why?
We're about ninety three million miles from the sun, give or take a few million depending on the time of year. Close enough to keep us warm. Far enough not to cook us.
So far it's the only place we've found coffee. The whole galaxy, and it's just us.
It doesn't grow just anywhere down here either. The right latitude, some elevation, a good climate, people who care. Miss any of those and it falls apart fast. Some years are good, some bad. Nobody promises you a harvest. Farmers have to make it work though.
Out on coffee farms all over this small world, growers are pulling the best they can out of a harvest that only gives so much. A few are forging their own paths, and those are the ones we're celebrating. Cofermentation, interesting processes, secret techniques, strange varietals. We're all in.
Ninety Three Million is a celebration of the big thinkers and the experimenters in the coffee world. Hold on tight.
